UCLan student wins JISC Summer of Student Innovation Competition.

Earlier in the year Jakub was the clear winner in our ‘Pitch your Business Idea’  School Competition which was held in Pardubice, Czech Republic in conjunction with our partner institution. With the advice he was given from that event, from Entrepreneurs and Professionals in the field, his ‘Survey Exchange’ (https://elevator.jisc.ac.uk/e/student-ideas-2016/idea/survey-exchange) went on to beat off fierce competition at JISC.

He has already had the opportunity to work with professionals at a residential in Birmingham and London. He has now been awarded £10,000 plus the amazing opportunity to develop his education technology (edtech) idea in collaboration with Jisc.

Andy McGregor, deputy chief innovation officer at Jisc, stated: “As ever with the competition, the entrants were all outstanding and incredibly innovative. The competition really does show that students are best placed to address education sector issues, and their innovative ideas are perfect for supporting learning, teaching or research. We look forward to seeing where these ideas go in the future! ”
