Students from Shanghai University experienced student life at UCLan during their visit to our Preston Campus

The group of postgraduate and PhD students who are on a 6-week visit to University of Manchester took time off their schedule to visit UCLan. The group is led by the Associate Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering, Shanghai University. The UCLan visit was arranged by Jason Li from Cathay Education Group, Manchester.

They were received by Associate Dean of the School of Computing, Engineering & Physical Sciences Dr. Stewart Eyres. After a welcome address, they visited facilities and met members of staff in the Jost Institute for Tribotechnology, Nanophysics & magnetic materials laboratories.

The students then visited the School of Forensics and Investigative Sciences where they were met by the Associate Head of School, Prof. Gary Bond who showed them the facilities.

The visit was facilitiated and co-ordinated by the International Office – David Brown, Yusuf Kaffo and Sarah Johnston.
