UCLan and the China Service Centre for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE)

The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) was the first UK university to this week stage a promotional event for the China Service Centre for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) and its partners in China. The event, which took place in Shenzhen, was attended by CHE Weimin, Director Assistant and Director for International and his colleagues  LIU Xugang, Vice Director of HND Overseas Study Team and YANG Xiaojing, ZHONG Yong, both Programme Directors for International Cooperation at CSCSE. They were joined by 23 colleagues from various educational centres and institutions across China. UCLan was very pleased to also welcome Cathy He, Assistant Director Education Marketing, to the event.

UCLan was represented by John Quirk, Director of International Affairs and Dharma Kovvuri, Dean of Lancashire Business School, and joined by Paul Elmer, Paul Rowe and Alison Denton from UCLan in the UK, all seven China-based International Office staff, lead by Michael Ge as Regional Manager, and all seven UCLan academic staff based in China.

CSCSE and its partners were very impressed with the high levels of academic and personal support offered to students both in China and in the UK, and look forward to furthering their relationship with UCLan in a number of key areas of development.
