The meeting was also attended by the British Council Country Education Projects Manager Mr Shukhrat Amanov. One of the up-coming projects discussed is INSPIRE – Style.UZ Fashion week to which UCLan have been invited to participate.

UCLan held further talks with Mr Elyor Makhmudov, Chief of International Relations at the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies. They have a record 40 alumni currently serving in Uzbek diplomatic missions in Asian and Middle East countries. All the students have to take three languages, and the preferred western language of choice is English, hence the interest to work with UCLan.
