UCLan at the Forum on International Education in Moscow
Angeline Ward from the International office and Owen Leeds from the Lancashire Business School attended the event which was attended by representatives from Russian Universities and colleagues from all overseas universities seeking to work with their Russian counterparts.
The Russian Ministry of Education stressed the importance of collaborations in a changing economy, and the Deputy Director of the British Council in Russia – Christian Duncumb – outlined ways in which the Council was assisting UK institutions and Russian universities to work together.
The Vice Rector of the Moscow School of Economics and Social Sciences, Alexander Abashkin, gave examples of how they were working with foreign universities, and welcomed collaborations from interested parties.
UCLan were invited to attend the event by our Moscow representatives ITEC, who have also organised a student recruitment fair in the city.
